On Friday morning, the US IFYEs had a chance to meet with several Foreign Agricultural Services officers about career opportunities in FAS and hear stories of their adventures from their work.
After 12 miles of walking in the wonderful Washington, DC heat, my ankle started to protest, but it was worth it, of course!

For example, Minnesota transplants to North Dakota put pickles in their beers. And while it seems like an unlikely combo, it is surprisingly satisfying.
Also, huge shoutout to Amanda Bayles (Tasmania). She gave me one of her phone chargers after I busted mine. First the bag and now the cord - what's next? So thankful for her generosity!
These are incredible people off on a start some pretty incredible adventures.
I didn't realize it would be so hard to say goodbye to these dear friends, but "see you later" seems more appropriate! ;)
